We hope you will find the information you need to make good decisions. If at any time you have any questions which aren't addressed here, you may call our toll free number at the top of every page. Is there a catch? No – there is no catch. You may place a free advertisement of your FOR SALE BY OWNER home or property on our site. Your free ad is created by information entered by you about your property. You may also upload up to 15 photographs of your home or property all without any cost to you. Does Purchase Me From Owner Sell Homes or Properties? No – We are not in the business of selling real estate. We are a marketing company designed to help YOU advertise your real estate for sale by owner. You are solely responsible for selling your property and making any decisions pertaining to your sale. Do you offer MLS inclusion or Flat Fee MLS? No – MLS is a system used by agents. Purchase Me From Owner is committed to commision free real estate. If a buyers agent shows your home from an MLS inclusion, you would have to pay a fee if your property is sold through that or any agent. We are a true FSBO marketing website for persons serious about selling their home or property on their own. We have however recently partnered with ByOwnerMLS. ByOwnerMLS is a real estate search engine that compiles advertisements from many different FSBO websites. This gives your property even more exposure with no additional cost to you. If I am under contract with an agent, may I use your site for additional exposure? No – In most cases if you are under contract, it would be a breach of that contract to list your property anywhere else. Most contracts are exclusive. Even if you entered into a non-exclusive contract and were to sell your home yourself while under that contract, you would still be liable to pay the commission. WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND IF YOU ARE CURRENTLY IN A CONTRACT TO CONSULT WITH YOUR AGENT OR A REAL ESTATE ATTORNEY BEFORE PLACING ANY ADVERTISEMENTS ON YOUR OWN. How do I know how much my home is worth? We recommend getting an appraisal. Costs vary depending upon your market, but typically range from $250 to $500. An appraiser will evaluate your home according to certain criteria such as overall condition, features, etc. They will then put together a comparison of comparable properties (usually three) that have sold recently in your area. Purchase Me From Owner.com can arrange an appraisal as part of our premium services. Who will show my home? You will be responsible for scheduling appointments and showing your home. For this reason, be sure that you or another adult member of your household who can provide all necessary information is available during the week to meet prospective homebuyers. Your preferred contact phone number will be listed on all marketing materials. Return calls promptly and schedule appointments at the earliest time convenient for both parties, as a delay could result in a lost sale. Do I need an attorney to sell my home? Hiring an attorney is not a requirement, but can help protect your interests during the transaction. If you take this step, it is important to make sure that the attorney specializes in real estate law. In a typical home sale, however, a title company is capable of handling all aspects of your transaction. How long will my advertisement run? Your ad will run until your home or property has sold. Please delete your ad when your property sells so that we can keep our content current. You may activate, de-activate or delete your ad any time you wish. If I place an advertisement with Purchase Me From Owner, am I under any obligation? You are under no contractual obligation to us at all. You may remove your listing at any time, even before your home sells if you wish. How many pictures can I upload? You may upload up to 15 pictures of your home. If you haven’t already taken photographs, read the Taking Pictures of Your Home page for tips on photographing your homes exterior and interior areas to their best advantage and a tutorial on how to upload them to your ad. Will you add the pictures to my Advertisement? Yes, simply mail your pictures to Purchase Me From Owner.com on a cd with your Web ID number, and we will add them to your advertisement as soon as we receive them.
